Any tips for running distance. I always feel so achy after just a couple of miles. Really stiff. I know it's my age but any tips would help.

10 mile run! - DONE BAM!!! I'm frikkin proud of myself. Dare I say it's pretty comfortable. I grab a kid's iPod, settle into a nice little pace and travel through my neighborhood with no real time in mind, just the end Smile

45/65/75/85/90/95/100/105/105/100

followed by 3 rds
50 squats, 40 situps, 30 mt climbers, 20 pushups

4/12/11
6 mile run
warmup - 2 min situps - 72 cool down - 1 min jumping lunges

WHEW!!!! It's been a while Smile I could go back and relive all the wods up to now but I will go with just yesterday's and a funny story

4/3/11

Run 2 miles
75 situps/75 squats/75 flutter kicks
Run 2 miles

Okay for the funny story...........

so, there are steep stairs at Moonlight Beach where I train endurance. I was trucking along on my warm up running for once in the middle of the pack. I was feeling AWESOME!!!!!!!! On my way back down the stairs a man stops me and says "Ma'am you have glob of toilet paper stuck to the back of your thigh". Shocked WHAT THE F*CK!!!!!!!!!!!! I reached back and sure enough my makeshift toilet seatcover was on my thigh. Holybeejeezus if I didnt just want to jump in the ocean at that point!!! I didnt tell the other ladies as I was still embarrassed but did manage to laugh about it on the way home. What a tard!!!!!!!!!!!!! affraid

I had a major attitude, fist off that didn't help. I am stressed to the gils.

warm up - walking lunges, and side squats

the workout 5 rounds - up and down the stairs (106 steps) x2 , 25 v-ups, 25 pushups, 25 box jumps
5 rounds.

yes, i peed my pants. Also felt my knee do something weird in the box jumps (icing now) but I got it done.
I'm glad I did it. I need it to be dirty and it was sunny

I had 7.5 miles on the agenda for yesterday but horrid shin pain. Evil or Very Mad I know my running gait need to be corrected so I'm watching a ton of videos. I definitely stomp when i run. Took it easy and messed around with pull ups and got a few dead hangs then this:

2/15 deadlifts - 135x5, 155x3 185x3, 205x3 215 single

2/16 500m 10 kbs 500m 20 kbs 500m30kbs 500m 40kbs UGH! rest 2 min then 21 15 9 squats/ knees to elbows - fun!

2/17 obliterated my previous 5k time and FINALLY GOT A FUCKING SUB 30 MIN!! affraid 28:42

2/19 - 800m, 30 burpees, 50 double unders, 400m, 50 dus, 50 hallow rocks REST 1 min 50 squats, 800m, 30 burpees 50 dus, 400m 50 du 50 hallow rocks 37:05 and beat my fiancee alien

ANNIE ON CRACK - 50,40, 30,20 10 doublunders/situps rest 2 min and REPEAT

1st round 9:48, 2nd round 10:31

Slow as snot but after 2 years of not having double unders i will TAKE IT!!! I am so proud that i can finally string a few together. At one point i did 11 in a row!!!! cheers

I have some technique plates -- 10# plates that are pretty thick and don't bounce, but hard plastic. They are soooooo noisy! But then, even my bumpers are super noisy. And i have rubber mats down too. I always feel sorry for the neighbors...

4 rounds

run 400m
40 box jumps
30 flutter kicks
20 mountain climbers
10 push ups

Not my best effort but glad I got out there and got it done. Way too much hesitation on the jumps Rolling Eyes
