| Try the 15...you can always move down if you need to. There's nothing wrong with trying and failing. Failing to try is worse. (Obviously this doesn't apply anything dangerous or whatnot). | |

| 750m row and 3 rounds of 15 wall balls 10 lbs 30 double unders
3:34 row 15:29 for the 3 rounds
10 lbs felt okay, it was really heavy the last time tried 15 lbs and it felt really heavy time to move to 15s though next time

| 4 mile run I really should be saying 4 mile jog because that's what I do. :-)
And, Karin, here, here, I am grateful for my machine too.

| I definitely started out with a mindset that my body was something to be subjugated to my will. Until various parts started going on strike. I'm (mostly) over being angry, whiny or resentful about it. I've learned to respect my limits. And to have a little freakin' gratitude for this marvelous machine i inhabit. | |

| to resting tomorrow.
Tired.
Definitely doing Crossfit for love of self. I only do 2 days a week, one of something falls on a Tuesday or Thursday that I need to do. Can't do more than that. It's too intense. Love it though. :-)

| Sonya
I agree. My concern is to do it out of self love, not self hatred or punishment.
Can't wait to see you again.

| Sonya... Seriously, for the first year I was just happy to get through the WODs. Then, something clicked and I was 'all of a sudden" stronger and faster. Then I started looking at times, realizing I was not so bad after all. My favorite position in the world for that first year was lying in a pool of sweat, gasping for air, marvelling that I had just DONE that. It didn't matter how long it took. I had just DONE that. Who does this? Now there are more and more of us, but still. Doin it.. completing it... amazing. Talk to me in a year and let's see if you still feel slow or new. | |

| Karin, thanks for that. I post in Crossfit Metropolis and I see that I'm the one with the least amount of reps, etc. but it really is okay. Getting stronger! | |

| Good job on using the band instead of the ring rows. Sure, you could have done more ring rows or done them faster....i could have done 40+ snatches in a row like some of the girls if i'd used an empty 35 lb. bar, too... but you challenged yourself and that's what matters.
As for the running....4 miles...that's farther than i've EVER run. I'm impressed!

| Warm-up 2 rounds 5 pull-ups (with green band) 10 kb swings with 15 lbs 15 OHS 20 sit-ups 25 double unders
WOD 100 meters of lunges with 15 lb overhead 15 pull ups with band for 25 minutes 4 rounds plus 100' of lunges Everyone else had high reps, I struggled with pull-ups but not beating up Sonya because it was the first time I did them and not ring rows instead, so from one progression to another, woot, woot
Sunday 4 mile run It took me 45 minutes, I'm slow

| Getting through those burpees was murder. After the WOD I had a headache. It went away eventually.
Thank you for your comment that it was tough, Karin. I thought it seemed tough because I'm an old broad. :-)

| It was fun but hard. I'm interested to see how I would do if I did it again.
The Painstorm sounds scary. I'm just getting to muscle ups with a band. When I did them the other day I felt a little twinge in my shoulder of a muscle that had been hurt years ago. It wasn't like an injury pain, more like my feeling that I am finally find a way to actually exercise that muscle.

| Nice job. Fun one, huh? (Not easy, but fun).
I detailed the "Painstorm" on my page. I think it would be painful if i could do it as prescribed but dozens of muscle up and handstand pushups is far beyond my mere mortal abilities! It was still really tiring with the toes to bar and the running and the 60 dips (about a third of which were done on the rings).
